Squaw Valley, CA

We flew to Reno on Thursday and drove up to Squaw Valley in snow. Rob said there was no snow the previous day at the base of the slopes. It continued snowing all that night and into the next day. I would say there was about a 2 ft accumulation. It is manna from heaven for Northern California and certainly for skiers!

Yesterday Rob had to work all day, so the rest of us walked from the cabin to the Resort in the snow for lunch after a stirring game of Ticket to Ride (board game).

Today was ski day. Lovely new snow and very comfortable temperatures. I gave up skiing long ago after a knee twist, but everybody else skied. I am writing this in one of the many hangout spots at the bottom of the slopes, waiting for everyone.
